What does a disconnection mean?

Cable Check records power disconnections and reconnections reported by Android. It cannot diagnose an internal cable break or identify a faulty component. Unplugging the cable yourself may also appear in the history.

If it keeps happening

Check the connection, then try a different cable and charger, changing one item at a time. If the issue continues across several combinations, the device or its charging port may need inspection.

Recording with the screen off

Enable automatic care in the app. You can stop it in the app or from the ongoing notification. Force-stopping the app, battery restrictions and manufacturer settings may interrupt recording. Unobserved periods are shown as gaps.

Missing a charge notification?

Enable automatic care and charge notifications, then choose a target. Check the app’s notification permission, notification channels and Do Not Disturb settings in Android. Notifications do not stop charging.
